One of Indiana high school basketball’s most accomplished players, Kristen Spolyar created a legacy that will be talked about for decades to come.

Known as a strong left handed guard, Spolyar holds nearly every Lebanon basketball record possible. During her four year career at LHS, Kristen scored 2,882 points which ranks 3rd all time in Indiana basketball history.

As a senior at Lebanon High School, she averaged 35.6 points per game, 9.2 rebounds per game, 5.3 steals per game, and 4.2 assists per game.

In 2016, Kristen scored a state record 1,031 points in one season. Spolyar holds 17 Lebanon records most notably scoring 57 points in one game.

‍Over the course of her career for the Tigers, Kristen earned the following honors: All Conference, All State, Indiana All Star, Finalist for Miss Basketball, Jr. All Star, McDonald’s All American Nominee, Team MVP, and Team Captain.

Upon graduation, Spolyar continued on and played at Butler University. During her career for the Bulldogs, Kristen recorded 1,544 points (4th All Time). She scored a career high 37 points tying the Butler record. In 2020, Spolyar was named 1st Team All Big East graduating from Butler as one of the most decorated Bulldogs in program history.

Currently, Kristen is playing professionally overseas. Since turning pro, she has played in multiple countries including Egypt, Greece, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the USA.

They say records are made to be broken. Kristen Spolyar may challenge that proverb for years to come.
